Female suicide bomber hits FCE Kotangora

The Federal College of Education (FCE), Kotangora in Niger State was on Wednesday attacked by a female suicide bomber, leaving two other female dead.
Reports reaching us from the institution say, the suicide bomber also died while many others were injured.
The bomber, who wore hijab, was said to be rushing towards the College Library apparently to record heavy casualties.
But, the bomb was said to have detonated before she got to the library. The sound of the explosion made students to scamper for safety, causing pandemonium.
Prompt News learnt that some students are writing examinations organized by the National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) for 2014.
Confirming the blast, Niger State Police Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Gambari, said only the suicide bomber died.
According to him, all the injured persons have been taken to the hospital while the State Anti-bomb squad have condoned off the area.
As at the time of filling this report, no group has claimed responsibility.
On Monday, group suspected to be Boko Haram attacked the Government Science Secondary School, Potiskum in Yobe State, killing no fewer than 47 students and injured about 79 others during morning assembly.
For a while now, there has not been terrorists attack in the north central.
Niger State has however recorded terrorists attack in the past, the most notable being the 2011 Christmas Day bombing of Catholic Church, Madalla.
