Deceased’s father, Nwobodo
One time governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, on Friday lost his son, Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, to cancer.
The young Nwobodo passed on at a private hospital in Enugu, even though he had received treatment for the ailment in a hospital in Huston Texas, United States. His father, Jim, said the family hoped Ifeanyichukwu was cured after receiving top-end treatment from the American cancer facility, and for they organised a thanksgiving ceremony.
Jim said all that changed after Ifeayinchukwu complained of a pain in his leg and died afterwards.
The late Ifeanyichukwu, was a trained medical doctor and once served as commissioner for science and technology in the state.
Ebonyi State Governor Martin Elechi was one of the sympathisers that visited the Nwobodos to commiserate with the family
