Tragedy struck today, October 12, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) when female hostel, Madam Tinubu Hall, caught fire.
The outbreak started at about 4am in the hostel leading some students to jump from the second floor of the building, Nigerian Eye reports.
The fire was however said to have been put out quickly and no casualties were recorded.
The extent of the damage caused is still unknown as no official statement has been issued by the school authorities.
