The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) said over 50 terrorists died Saturday afternoon as troops raided their hideout in Kawuri before setting out on a planned attack on Konduga.
This information was made known in the DHQ twitter account @DefenceInfoNG on Saturday.
The tweet reads: "one fabricated artillery gun, two anti-aircraft gun, an armoured vehicle and assorted types of ammunition were captured in the process.
"Some hardware, weapons, food items and personal belongings were also destroyed in the Kawuri raid."
The Defence Headquarters also said, "One officer and two Soldiers were seriously wounded in the raid."
Kawuri is a village in Konduga Local Government, Borno State located some 37 kilometers southeast of Maiduguri.
Daily Times recalls that a massacre occured in Kawuri in January 26, 2014 with the death toll hitting 85.
