Minister of Water Resources, Mrs. Sarah Reng Ochekpe, has received the 2013/2014 National Honours Award from the Federal Government of Nigeria at a colourful ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
President Goodluk Ebele Jonathan presented the award to a total number of 313 distinguished Nigerians who have contributed to the development and progress of Nigeria in their various fields of human endeavor.
Minister of Water Resources and 59 other awardees received the award of Commander of The Order of the Niger (CON). Out of the number, nine were serving Ministers.
Ochekpe, who hails from Plateau State has served State and Federal governments of Nigeria in various capacities and she is presently the Hon. Minister of Water Resources.
