The new rising star in the PDP gubernatorial race in Delta State, Tony Obuh, has passionately appealed to his brothers and sister of the Urhobo extraction to throw their weight behind his candidacy because of his sincere desire to partner with all ethnic nationalities that constitutes Delta State.
Obuh, in a statement signed by his Political Communication Resource Person (PCRP), Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, observed that there seem to be serious agitations by some political actors in Delta central
senatorial district who are engaged in sectional politics by opposing the candidacy of aspirants from other senatorial zones in the state.
He said Delta state has been united since its creation twenty three years ago and politics of whatever shape or size cannot now cause division or bad-blood between brothers and sisters in the three
senatorial districts that form the present day Delta.
The PDP gubernatorial aspirant is of the opinion that what is essentially important in the present dispensation is electing a God-fearing and totally detribalised as well as unbiased candidate
with sound credentials and wealth of experience in the act of governance to pilot the affairs of the state to a greater height.

He disclosed that a reasonable number of his close friends and associates are from the Urhobo extraction and will continue to make more friends in Delta central and all the senatorial districts across the state now and till the end of time.
Obuh, who retired recently as Permanent Secretary in the Delta state civil service after thirty two years of selfless service without blemish, promise to partner with all stakeholders in the three
senatorial districts in terms of political appointments and spread of socio-economic development of the state.
He further asserted that his sound moral upbringing as a devoted Christian with the fear of God, will not permit him to neglect any part of the state in terms of political appointments both at state and
federal levels, infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment, provision of social amenities and other forms of dividend of democracy which will be clearly articulated in his ”road-map
document” that will soon be made available and circulated to all Deltans.
Obuh who hails from Agbor in Ika South Local Government of Delta North senatorial district posited that though he is from Delta North as a divine arrangement but his heart goes out to all Deltans
irrespective of senatorial district political calculations which is why”my brothers and sisters in the Urhobo nation should go to bed with their two eyes closed because I am going to partner with them
greatly if they support me to victory in 2015”, the statement added.
