Catholic Priest Says Pastors Collecting Tithe are thieves

Famous Priest - Rev. Fr Anselm Onyeka, a Catholic priest, has condemned Collecting, gathering of tithe from worshipers in Most churches, Explaining the act as stealing the Masses.

Priest Onyeka, who is a parish priest of a church, said tithing was no longer available because, according to him, Jesus Christ never spoke of it all his life time on earth.

He said it increased to charging the people after tasking them to donate for the building of the church, drilling the priest and other Styles of offerings in the church, saying that all the priests gathering taxes do not account for it as the patriarch or higher bodies in the church was not alert of it.

Onyeka added in the Catholic Church for example, apart from the special charities meant to take care of other works in any bishopric.

The only money that is expected to the bishop is 20 percentage of the Sunday , submit from all the communities that make up the bishopric.

While another 20 percent is kept for the old people’s homes and that tithes gathered in any Catholic Church were never accounted for He groan, that because of the enthusiasm to please priests for tithes, some people involve in kidnapping and all sorts of crimes.

Onyeka further said that tithings had become a huge business for some priests who now build castles and live expensive High standards.

He used the possibility to advise parents to develop their children in the way of God, saying lack of proper training of children had left the society with the present problems Arising at hand.
