The Independent National Electoral Commisssion (INEC) says it is forging ahead with preparations to conduct the 2015 general elections rescheduled for March 28 and April 11.
INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega made this known at a meeting organised by the Commission to discuss the level of preparation with political parties and other stakeholders.
Prefessor Jega said the 6-week extension of the election has afforded the Commission the opportunity to further perfect the electoral processes for the delivery of free, fair and credible polls.
He said the Commission will be conducting another public demonstration of card readers in Ebonyi state to alay further fears.
