President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, November 20, swore in a new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). Justice Mahmud Mohammed was sworn into office at the Presidential Villa in Abuja taking over from Justice Aloma Muktar.
The immediate-past CJN resigned her position after reaching the statutory retirement age of 70 years. The president also conferred on Mohammed the national honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger.
