Nigeria has now been ranked 4th out of 162 countries in a new Global Terrorism Index List released.
The rankings estimates 82% of terrorism in the 2013 occured majorly in only 5 countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and Nigeria.

The rise of terrorism in Nigeria is was brought by dreaded islamic sect and terrorist group Boko Haram which started to engage in significant violence from 2009 till date states the report.
