Reports say the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed confidence that it will win over governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South South zone to support President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015.
National vice chairman of PDP (South South), Dr Cairo Ojugbo, who stated this yesterday after he paid a visit to the national secretariat of the PDP, added that it was part of their mission to ensure 100% votes for the president from the region in 2015.
APC controls Rivers and Edo states, under the governorship of Rotimi Amaechi and Adams Oshiomhole. PDP, however, controls Delta, Bayelsa, Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom states.
Dr Ojugbo stated that the return of President Jonathan in 2015 is a South South agenda, and when asked about the opposition governors in the South South, he said, “We will talk to everybody. The structure is massive enough to accept all. We won’t lose any vote.”
We will talk to everybody.”
