A man identified as Justice (surname withheld) allegedly killed his friend over disagreement in sharing of a N500 gift from a local politician at Onyobru Inland, Idjerhe Kingdom in Ethiope West local government area of Delta State following a sharp disagreement over the sharing formula.
On the fateful day, the suspect, Justice was with his friend, Ogheherona, when they sighted a local politician and former councillor in the area driving by. When Oghenerona greeted the ex-councillor as he drove past, he dropped a N500 for the two friends.
According to sources, Oghenerona promised to give his friend N200 and take the remaining N300, since he was the one, who not only greeted the politician but also collected the money, but this did not go down well with Justice, who vowed he would not accept it.
Justice rushed into the house and returned with a cutlass and allegedly stabbed Oghenerona to death.
He was said to have escaped from the community but was later arrested by men of the vigilante group including some angry mob who ambushed him.
