I wish Buhari no evil but Nigeria’s health is important – Fayose

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has reiterated his honest intentions as far as comments he made earlier on the health of the All Progressives Congess, APC, presidential candidate General Muhammadu Buhari are concerned.
Governor Fayose, who cautioned the Nigerian media on sentimental reporting due to vested titles by politicians, said Nigerians should not allow the certificate issue to be swept under the carpet as “certificates are not issued by the schools you go but are issued by WAEC, NECO – Examination bodies”.
The Governor made the statement on Tuesday in Lagos, at the Peoples Democratic Party’s, PDP, Governor’s Forum, where he also revealed that he is not after General Buhari.
“He (Buhari) is my father; anybody who is the age of your mother is your father,” Fayose said.
Governor Fayose stated that his recent statements to Nigerians were not personal and cited the case of the Zambian president.
“That is why everything I am saying to you Nigerians is too old and not personal,
“I want you to remember the case of the Zambian President few days ago, the opposition raised issues about his health before their elections, they were complaining that the President was not okay.
“The man fell (collapsed) two day ago and is set to undergo an operation. That one will not happen here in Nigeria,
“A man that is sick is sick; four years in the life of a man may appear long, but in the life of a nation it is not long at all for that nation to err on its path or go off course.
“The North must exercise patience for four years, we don’t want a reversal of yesteryears, and this is a banana peel on the floor that can be very messy, God forbid!
“The journey of four years should not be a journey of forty years.
“It is avoidable; President Jonathan has spent four years, concluding his next four years would give the North that express way of eight years rotational Presidency, whose interest is being represented when you are forcing office on a man who does not have the capability and health, which is of great importance?.”
The Governor rounded up his speech by asking Nigerians to watch out for the opposition’s deceit campaigns.
Fayose said this in reaction to an advert where the opposition is said they would give ‘one meal per day to Lagosians’, which according to him is a blatant lie.
